How long it takes to craft JD applications depends on how many schools you’re applying to, your schedule, and your writing and editing skills. We have worked with successful applicants who have spent two months to two years on their applications.

Does Juris Education do Law school admissions consulting for students with Low GPAs?

Yes, we offer application help services designed for students with low GPAs.

‍
Our former admissions officers help reframe your academic record by crafting a concise, well-structured GPA addendum that explains the reasons behind your grades, whether due to hardship, a demanding major, or academic growth. We position your GPA as just one part of a broader story of resilience, self-awareness, and upward momentum.

‍
We’ll also develop a customized school list that aligns with your academic history and strengths, prioritizing law schools known for taking a holistic approach and giving significant weight to factors beyond GPA, like LSAT performance, life experience, and personal growth.

‍
We’ll then create a strategic, personalized plan: providing redline edits of your personal and diversity statements to highlight your strengths, perspective, and commitment to law.

‍
Finally, we’ll support you in crafting a standout resume and help you prepare targeted letters of recommendation that vouch for your intellectual ability and growth. If needed, we’ll also help you boost your LSAT score through expert tutoring, since a strong LSAT can go a long way toward balancing a lower GPA.

‍
Take a look at how we’ve helped 100s of students get into law school, including Samuel, who had an undergraduate GPA much lower than his top-choice programs expected. But with our help, Samuel was accepted at Columbia Law School. You can read his review here.

How Does Juris Education’s “Ultimate Acceptance Guarantee” Work?

If you meet the academic minimums and follow the requirements below, Juris Education will work with you again for free if you apply with their guidance and are not accepted to any law school.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Must enroll in the Premier JD program (paid in full)
  • Must identify which application cycle you’re seeking services for
  • Must maintain a minimum 3.50 cumulative undergraduate GPA
  • Must apply to a counselor pre-approved 20-school list
  • Must receive at least one official interview invite (since interview invitations depend on factors outside their control)
  • Must submit Secondary Applications to all schools on the approved list by November 30 of the identified cycle
  • All application essays must be fully edited and receive a counselor “green light” before submission
  • Must substantially comply with expert's advice throughout the process, including application review and interview preparation

Our promise is clear: if you meet all requirements, implement your counselor’s expert insights, and are not accepted into any law school, you have 5 days from receiving final decisions to claim the Juris Guarantee. If we receive your formal request within that window, we will work with you again for the next 2 cycles for free to further refine your application, including a personal statement rewrite, activities section redo, secondary essays rewrite, and general advising.

Please note: Juris Education may request access to submitted application materials and official documents (including transcripts and decision notices) and may follow up to confirm expert instructions were followed during interview preparation and the interview itself. Final approval is subject to review and sign-off by your former admissions expert and student success manager. The guarantee is listed as valid for enrollments on or after 08/01/2025.

How To Assess If a Consultant Will Be Reliable & Effective

Consider these factors before making a decision:

  • If the have the verifiable experience, expertise, and background needed to help you craft a compelling law school application. The best counselors have years of admissions experience, extensive knowledge of the law school admissions landscape, and a proven ability to help candidates with various profiles, not just top scorers or traditional applicants. It’s a bonus if they’re former admissions officers who have served on admissions committees and reviewed real applications.
  • If they have documented results, acceptance letters, and success stories from previous cycles. Look for experts and companies that don’t just use vague phrases like “we help students succeed” and instead ask for real numbers like what percentage of their students get accepted, how many of their students earn scholarships, and if they have video or written testimonials you can read to support their claims.
  • How they will personalize their approach to your unique background and application. You bring a different set of experiences, goals, and challenges than other students, and if the support isn’t tailored to reflect that, your application will fade into the background. See if they mention using templates or generic frameworks. If so, that’s a red flag. Authentic personalization means helping you craft a cohesive story, selecting schools that align with your profile, and offering feedback that reflects your voice and strengths. They should also adapt their approach as your application evolves, rather than forcing you into a rigid system.
  • What their pricing structure looks like and what services are included. You should ask them how much of the law school application will support to ensure there are no gaps in guidance during critical moments as if their involvement ends after a personal statement edit, you could be left scrambling when it matters most. The best options offer end-to-end support for components like Personal and diversity statements, addenda, school-specific essays, interview prep, and school selection to name a few.
image of arrow down

Is Law School Admissions Consulting Worth It?

Law school application support is often well worth the investment, especially given how competitive the process has become. The T14 law schools have collectively rejected more than of 85% of applicants over the previous 5 cycles, and most applicants receive offers from only 1-2 schools if they have a standout profile.

The clearest benefits show up where outside perspective is hardest to replicate. Your friends, peers, and parents can catch typos in your personal statement, but they can’t provide expert insights on how an admissions committee officer will read your story, compare it to your application narrative, and assess your candidacy.

The same applies to framing a low GPA or below-median LSAT, knowing which schools read holistically, and preparing for interview formats that vary widely from one program to the next. Our experts know what red flags trigger follow-up questions and what narratives actually move the needle in overcoming those and earning an acceptance.
