Published Research in the Journal of Consumer Research

Challenge:

Between part-time work as a chef at a restaurant near his campus and maintaining his GPA with a full course load, Johnathan was concerned that his extracurricular activities for law school would be lackluster at best. He wanted guidance on what experiences admissions committees would be looking for before pursuing new activities.

How We Helped:

We conducted an in-depth persona assessment, finding over 20 key takeaways about Johnathan’s involvement, activities, and experiences

Tutored Johnathan for his upcoming LSAT test date, helping him ace Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension topics to achieve a top 1% score

Helped Johnathan craft and edit an application for a competitive internship at the Brooklyn Public Defender’s Office

Guided Johnathan to create his own project with a profound impact in his community—connecting restaurants and local bakeries with food banks and local shelters for regular donations

Helped Johnathan secure a research assistant position at the NYU Law Center on Race, Inequality, and the Law

Guided Johnathan through the Juris Research Fellowship, leading to his work being published in the Journal of Consumer Research

‍Outcome:

Sarah

Cumulative GPA

3.75

LSAT Score

174

Joined as a Juninor from

Boston College

Enrolled in 60-Hr LSAT Prep + 25 School All-Inclusive App Support

Challenge:

As a junior, Sarah switched from a pre-med track to pre-law and aimed for the T-14 law schools. With a GPA that falls below the 25th percentile at most top law schools and a profile built entirely around medicine, Sarah came to Juris Education to get help with LSAT prep and make a case for her acceptance to the country’s most prestigious law schools.

How We Helped:

Matched Sarah with an expert who could help her achieve a high LSAT score to offset her lower GPA

Tutored Sarah through Logical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension questions, helping her develop test-taking strategies to lead her to a top-tier score

Mapped Sarah’s GPA and LSAT score against real admissions data to sharpen her list of 25 law schools

Reframed Sarah’s pivot from pre-med to pre-law as a differentiator, making her scientific background an asset as a non-traditional applicant

Helped Sarah edit her LSAC application to showcase her passion for law, her greatest strengths, and most meaningful experiences

Prepared Sarah for law school interviews with mock simulations designed to help her improve her answers and be ready for anything on the big day

Reviewed Sarah’s entire application package to ensure everything was cohesive and showcased her as the ultimate applicant, despite a lower GPA

‍Outcome:

Sarah was accepted to eight law schools, including four T-14 law schools: NYU School of Law, Cornell Law School, Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, and Georgetown Law Center. She chose to attend NYU with a scholarship.

Sophia

Accepted at:

Cumulative GPA

3.7

LSAT Score

173

Joined as a Junior from

University of California, Santa Barbara

Enrolled in 15 School All-Inclusive Application Support

Challenge:

Sophia struggled with self-confidence and had no connections to anyone in the legal field to help her navigate the admissions process. Aiming for the nation’s top law schools, Sophia wanted someone to keep her accountable throughout the process while providing encouragement to keep her confidence high.

How We Helped:

Paired Sophia with an expert with experience supporting first-generation applicants throughout the process.

Built Sophia a tailored school list, using her academic profile, background, and interest in advocating for underrepresented communities as selection factors

Uncovered Sophia’s most meaningful experiences with a detailed persona assessment and helped her determine a cohesive application narrative

Edited Sophia’s law school personal statement, diversity statement, and optional essays to perfection

Prepared Sophia for mock interviews at top schools on her list, including UVA Law

Sophia was accepted to multiple law schools, including the University of Virginia School of Law.
