Professionally, Alica is interested in international/comparative law and public interest, but she also has an impressive background in research and teaching. During her time at Rutgers, she was a course instructor, learning assistant, and research assistant. She also interned at the Bureau of Intelligence and Research for the US Department of State and has received several awards for her work in both English and French. These experiences have honed her analytical and writing skills, making her a more effective admissions coach.

Alice views getting into law school as a significant life milestone and finds great joy in helping students reach that goal. She loves getting to know her students as they work together on their application materials. Her coaching approach starts with assisting students in selecting the perfect schools and guiding them through the decision-making process to ensure a balanced mix of reach and safety schools, understanding that safety schools can offer scholarships that students can later use to negotiate financial aid. She then helps create a detailed to-do list, leveraging her deep familiarity with the law school application process to ensure everything is completed on time.

By setting clear and attainable goals, Alice ensures students stay organized through the complex application process. She is also particularly skilled at helping students with their essays, ensuring they clearly articulate why they want to dedicate three years of their lives to studying law. By the end of her coaching, students’ applications are not only complete but as strong as they can be!

Outside of coaching, Alice enjoys reading, watching movies, hiking, and baking; she’s happy to swap recipes at any time. She’s also recently gotten into climbing, so if anyone has any tips on how to break into V4s, she’s all ears!

Professionally, Corey has held several prestigious positions, including externing at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, interning at the United States Federal District Courthouse Clerk’s Office, and serving as an assistant negotiator on the National Broadcast L'Oréal team. She specializes in investigations, with a focus on complex commercial litigation.

Corey understands that the law school application process can be daunting for students and is passionate about making it as easy and manageable as possible. Her coaching approach involves guiding students through every step of the journey—from selecting school lists to finalizing applications. Her goal is to ensure the process is stress-free and tailored to each student's needs.

As a coach, Corey excels at identifying students' strengths and breaking down the application process into manageable steps. She is adept at guiding applicants to submit competitive, thorough applications, helping them realize their full potential.

In her spare time, Corey chases after her two toddlers, reads the latest Emily Henry book, or binge-watches the Great British Baking Show.

Prior to attending Cornell Law School, David earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University with a dual concentration in history and biomedical ethics. He then worked for a large law firm in Washington, DC, for a year. Following his graduation from Cornell, he served in the United States Navy as a Judge Advocate for three years on active duty while stationed in Great Lakes, Illinois, and Newport, Rhode Island. Here, he was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal twice. He then worked as an attorney for the U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service following his military service. After that, he practiced immigration law for over ten years.

After a long legal career, David transitioned into his true passion, higher education, to help students find engaging internships and post-graduation positions and assist them with applications to top law schools. In addition to heading Northeastern’s pre-law office, he taught hundreds of international students in a professionalism and career readiness course designed to prepare them for working in the United States.

Following his work at the Northeastern University admissions office, David ran a program for student veterans at the University of Massachusetts Boston, helping them prepare and gain admittance to highly selective colleges. Having found his niche in providing one-on-one advising, he returned to his alma mater to work as an admissions specialist for the Brown University admission office. At Brown, he was responsible for evaluating thousands of applications and making admissions committee recommendations. He was also responsible for all merit scholarship reviews and has an in-depth understanding of what highly selective schools are looking for when making scholarship decisions.

As a coach, David takes a highly personalized approach to each student. He focuses on understanding their strengths, passions, and natural curiosities by asking about their dream job, how they see themselves practicing law, and what truly inspires them. He then thoughtfully considers the practical steps needed to achieve those goals, guiding students on the best paths forward. 

Known for his humor and practical advice, David expertly navigates the complexities of the law school application process, especially when crafting standout essays. His greatest strength lies in his intuitive ability to uncover the most compelling themes for each student’s application and identify the law schools that are the best fit for their profiles. David has helped students gain admission to top law schools such as Yale, Duke, UPenn, UVA, NYU, Cornell, Georgetown, USC, BU, UCal law schools, and more.

Outside of work, David enjoys gardening, regional travel, and attending small-scale music, theater, and sporting events. He is a lifelong Red Sox fan and continues to follow the team closely.
