Tamar graduated from Vanderbilt University with a double major in English and gender studies. While studying at Michigan, she spent a semester in Cape Town, South Africa, working in the Refugee Clinic at the University of Cape Town. After graduating from law school, she completed her two-year Skadden Fellowship and continued working with foster youth as a staff attorney at the Youth Law Center.
Tamar now serves as a practitioner-in-residence at the Civil Advocacy Clinic at American University Washington College of Law. She has several years of experience guiding students through the law school application process and has been instrumental in helping students gain admission to some of the country's top law schools at UCLA, UVA, Georgetown, Northwestern, and others.
Passionate about coaching, Tamar derives immense satisfaction from guiding students through the law school application process. She uses her experience as a graduate student instructor at the University of Michigan to help applicants prepare for the rigors of law school. She is also known for her ability to keep applicants organized and calm while also providing enthusiastic support and encouragement. She is very detail-oriented and is adept at helping candidates refine their application drafts to ensure they present their best selves. Tamar eagerly looks forward to assisting Juris students in achieving their law school aspirations.
In her spare time, Tamar loves reading, stress baking, and taking naps in the afternoon. She is also trying to learn how to surf.
