Mustafa Raza

At Rutgers University, Mustafa was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program, and served as a School of Arts and Sciences Senator. He was also selected as an Eagleton Associate, a competitive fellowship recognizing future leaders in public affairs, and received multiple Dean’s List recognitions. At Georgetown Law, Mustafa served as Treasurer of the Middle Eastern and North African Law Students Association (MENALSA) and is an active member of the South Asian Law Students Association (SALSA), and the Georgetown Plaintiffs' Law Association (GPLA). 

Mustafa’s professional experience spans international and interdisciplinary legal work. He served as a judicial clerk at the Supreme Court of Pakistan, where he drafted opinions and orders and conducted novel research on constitutional issues and alternative dispute resolution. His research background also includes work with Harvard University’s Project on Shi’ism and Global Affairs, as well as prior experience as a teaching assistant At Harvard, where he graded graduate and undergraduate papers and mentored students through the research and writing process. He also served as a NYC Civic Corps Member at the Council on American-Islamic Relations, where he designed programs countering discrimination and supported victims of hate crimes in multiple languages.

Mustafa's passion for mentorship is rooted in years of direct educational service. He tutored Syrian refugee families for over six years, guiding several students through the U.S. college admissions process, and volunteered with the Petey Greene Program, providing GED instruction to incarcerated individuals.

As an LSAT tutor, Mustafa brings a combination of analytical rigor and practical test-taking strategy to his work with students. His greatest strength lies in diagnosing why a student is missing questions, whether the obstacle is a specific logical structure, timing, anxiety, or a habit of misreading, and building a targeted plan to address it rather than relying on generic drills. Students Mustafa has tutored have been accepted to Harvard Law School, Columbia Law School, the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, the University of Chicago Law School, UCLA School of Law, UC Berkeley School of Law, the University of Michigan Law School, and others. 

Having succeeded on the LSAT himself and now working through the analytical demands of a top law school curriculum, Mustafa teaches the exam the way it is actually tested: as a transferable skill in legal reasoning, not a puzzle to be memorized. Mustafa’s coaching approach centers on being patient, honest, and section-specific: he takes time to understand each student's baseline before pushing, and he emphasizes consistent, deliberate practice over volume.

Outside of tutoring, Mustafa is a nationally competing slam poet and has a series of tattoos inspired by favorite shows like Adventure Time, Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Futurama. He is also fluent in Urdu and Hindi and brings a global perspective to his work with students.
