Prior to attending Georgetown Law, Mustafa earned his Bachelor’s degree in political science and comparative literature, with minors in South Asian studies and film studies from Rutgers University. Having done extensive research at Harvard on the connections between Eastern esoteric philosophy and post-enlightenment Western philosophy, he spends most days with his head buried in a sea of books. He uses this experience to help students digest complex and nuanced ideas.
Mustafa has a genuine love for teaching and a strong passion for standardized tests. As a tutor, he is skilled at guiding students in setting, pursuing, and achieving their goals. He effectively helps them manage test anxiety by breaking down concepts into digestible parts and presenting them in multiple ways. His patience is a hallmark of his teaching style—his middle name even means “patient”! This creates a nurturing atmosphere where students feel empowered to succeed.
In his free time, Mustafa enjoys traveling, watching the New York Knicks, and learning new languages. He is fluent in three languages and is currently working on two more! A fun fact about him is that he has an unusual history of being chased by angry animals, including geese, ducks, dogs, and even a peacock. He also grew up just 20 minutes from the filming location of Jersey Shore, which he considers the greatest reality TV show ever made.
