Elvin "Garry" Grundy III

Before attending Harvard University, Garry’s undergraduate work at Stanford University culminated in a Bachelor’s degree in medieval studies, French & European studies, awarded with Departmental Honors and University Distinction—a testament to his scholarly rigor and intellectual versatility. At Harvard, Garry was awarded the Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship and the William DeHowe Civil Rights Scholarship. His leadership was widely recognized: he served as President and Chairman of the historic Lincoln’s Inn Society, Executive Editor of the Harvard Latino Law Review, and Managing Editor of the Harvard Black Letter Law Journal. His analytical work has shaped political strategy as Chief Legal & Policy Advisor for a major California state Senate campaign, and his early writings were featured in independent publications like The Harvard Law Record and The Stanford Daily.

Garry currently serves as the Founding Managing Partner of Propitious Principals, GP—a next-generation think tank that develops model legislation and white papers on everything from housing finance to AI governance for political entities and tribal governments. This venture builds on his 13-year tenure as Managing Partner of the Grundy Law Firm, PLLC, where he successfully litigated high-stakes civil and criminal matters. Beyond the desk, Garry is a polymath whose intellectual curiosity is boundless. A former professor of civilization & policy, he remains a dedicated student of history, philosophy, and cultural anthropology.
