As an admissions ambassador, Dane gained firsthand insight into the admissions process and was regularly consulted for his feedback on prospective applicants. His commitment to public service earned him a position in the highly competitive Appellate Clinic at WashU, followed by a judicial clerkship with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California. He now leads the appellate division at the Ashtabula County Prosecutor's Office and is a member of the Ohio State Bar.
Dane’s approach as a counselor is rooted in attentive listening and precise, thoughtful editing. He aims to make the law school admissions process as clear and manageable as possible. A lawyer through and through, he is always ready to offer guidance but prioritizes the student’s voice and goals above all.
A first-generation law student himself, Dane remembers the uncertainty of applying without insider knowledge or support. With the help of exceptional mentors, he earned a full scholarship to his dream school. Inspired by that experience, Dane began admissions counseling to help others navigate the process with confidence. He understands how daunting the process can feel, and he’s committed to ensuring students feel empowered, supported, and ultimately, proud of where they land.
A fun fact about Dane is that he used to work as an environmental educator and field instructor at the Conservancy for Cuyahoga Valley National Park before law school.
