Toni Jaeger-Fine, a Law School Admissions Consultant at Juris Education

Toni graduated with a JD from Duke University School of Law. She has 18 years of admissions committee experience, overseeing admissions for LLM, MSL, and SJD programs at Fordham University School of Law and Yeshiva University Cardozo School of Law, where she reviewed 3,000+ applications. She has taught at law schools at George Washington University, New York University, and Yeshiva University. She taught at Fordham University for 20 years and served as Assistant Dean for over 16 years.

Toni is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Binghamton University, where she received the Claudia Bernardo Award for Excellence in the Humanities and the Cecil Bacheller Award for Excellence in the Romance Languages, graduating with highest honors in Spanish. At Duke University School of Law, Toni graduated with honors, received the Bidlake Award for Excellence in Legal Writing, and was a member of the editorial board of Law and Contemporary Problems. Following law school, Toni worked as an associate at the Washington, D.C.-based law firm Crowell & Moring, where she specialized in commercial and appellate litigation. After about six years of practice, she entered the world of legal academia.

As the daughter of teachers, Toni was always an educator at heart. She has taught and lectured throughout the United States and in more than 20 countries around the world, including Argentina, Brazil, China, Egypt, Germany, Italy, Japan, Vietnam, and others. She has been a frequent speaker to delegations as part of the U.S. State Department International Visitor Program. She is a recipient of the Fordham Law School Dean's Medal of Recognition for outstanding service, impact, and commitment, the highest honor the Dean can award. She also received the New York State Bar Association International Section 2025 Distinction in International Law and Affairs Award and is on the International Advisory Board of the CEU Universities (Spain).

Toni is the author of numerous articles on a wide range of topics and several books, including Next Gen Law Firm Management, Becoming a Lawyer: Discovering and Defining Your Professional Persona, The U.S. Legal System: The Basics, and American Legal Systems: A Research and Reference Guide. She is currently a Senior Counselor at Fordham University and the Principal of Jaeger-Fine Consulting, which provides services to attorneys, law firms, and other organizations on professional identity and law firm management. 

Toni has spent nearly her entire career working at law schools and is intimately familiar with the admissions and enrollment processes. She takes special pride in the accomplishments of the literally hundreds of JD, LLM, and SJD students she has mentored. She genuinely enjoys helping students better understand their interests, strengths, and motivations and supporting them to find a path to meet their goals. Toni is an excellent listener and thrives on getting to know the people she advises, ensuring that her guidance is aligned with their interests and aspirations.

A fun fact about Toni is that she enjoys traveling in her free time and is a fitness enthusiast. She especially loves climbing and fitness boxing, and she and her wife are proud parents to a mini Goldendoodle. She also completed the CrossFit Open competition in her late 50s, an accomplishment of which she is genuinely proud.
