While at Eckerd College, Theo received the Founder’s Scholarship. His senior thesis discussed the value of the history of philosophy in undergraduate classes. He also served as a Resident Advisor at Columbia University and previously volunteered as a math tutor, experiences that strengthened his mentorship and communication skills. In addition to his tutoring background, he brings a strong foundation in technology and analytical problem-solving. After graduating from Columbia University, he worked as an analyst at Agency Cybersecurity, a New York startup, where he developed an interest in privacy and technology law.
Theo’s tutoring philosophy centers on learning by doing: students he tutors begin working through real LSAT questions early in the process and develop a deeper understanding of exam strategies through careful analysis and repetition. Theo provides students constructive advice that empowers them to solve problems for themselves, instead of just watching an instructor work through the questions on a whiteboard. Theo loves tutoring students in Logical Reasoning because he has unique strategies for approaching the different question types that he hasn’t seen in other tutoring styles.
Outside of tutoring, Theo enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy novels, discussing books with his book club, going to the gym, and listening to Taylor Swift. As part of his prior work in cybersecurity, he once helped investigate a North Korean identity fraud scheme.
