Prior to pursuing a JD from the University of Chicago Law School with a merit scholarship, Pourobee earned a dual degree in political science (international relations) and business administration from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was inducted into the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society. She has four years of tutoring experience and scored a 176 on the LSAT—she draws on this experience to guide students toward higher scores.

Pourobee is a campaign strategist and organizer with expertise in communications, fundraising, and coalition management. With an interest in public interest, immigration, and civil rights law, her work has spanned local, statewide, and federal races across California, Georgia, and Montana. She strongly believes that lasting political change begins at the community level. Pourobee has consulted on multimillion-dollar canvassing programs, helped pass ballot measures to protect reproductive freedom, and played a role in flipping some of the country’s most competitive battleground districts.

As the daughter of immigrants, Pourobee’s work is rooted in a lifelong commitment to building a more just and equitable democracy. She began her career in progressive politics and strategic communications, serving as the National Finance Associate on Congresswoman Katie Porter’s US Senate campaign, where she helped raise nearly $10 million in two fiscal quarters. Most recently, at 50+1 Strategies, Pourobee managed over $5 million in electoral budgets and oversaw field programs that knocked on nearly 400,000 doors and helped flip three congressional seats in California. Her background also includes roles at The Campaign Workshop and an international development nonprofit in Washington, D.C. Her undergraduate thesis explored how structural inequities limit the advancement of female candidates, particularly women of color.

Pourobee brings the same commitment to equity and access to her tutoring sessions. A former award-winning competitor and Team Captain of Berkeley’s nationally ranked Mock Trial team, she draws on her background in argumentation, logic, and legal writing to help students build confidence and sharpen their skills. Her approach is practical and encouraging — rooted in personalized study plans, timing strategies, and a knack for making complex concepts feel clear and intuitive. Pourobee meets students where they are and helps them move forward with purpose and momentum.

When she’s not coaching, Pourobee can be found solving crosswords, thrifting, or reading on the beach.
