Mathieu graduated among the top three students of his law school class and was the first extended division student to be inducted into three honor societies while a student. He also served as a Widener Law Review member and President of the Sports and Entertainment Law Association. After graduating, Mathieu passed the Pennsylvania and New Jersey Bar Exams and achieved top-tier scores in the written portions. Having attended law school part-time while working full-time, Mathieu understands the intense pressure of balancing numerous responsibilities within a limited time—a pressure many aspiring lawyers face as they prepare for the bar.
As a tutor, Mathieu uses the same materials that helped him succeed and teaches techniques to make the process more manageable for others. Most individuals he has tutored have not only improved their scores but also passed with marks transferable to every UBE jurisdiction. Students who work with Mathieu increase their bar scores by an average of 30 points, with many individuals scoring above 300.
One of Mathieu’s greatest strengths as a tutor is helping students excel in the written portion of the bar exam. He has developed a method for writing essays that is clear to graders while ensuring all important facts are included. Many students who had never considered this approach before find that it significantly improves their essay-writing skills. His approach involves a unique approach of challenging test-takers with hypothetical scenarios and helping them develop better study habits.
In his free time, Mathieu enjoys running marathons and has completed six to date.
