While at Mercer, Kelli was also actively involved in the Advanced Legal Writing, Research, and Drafting program, which, alongside the school’s nationally recognized legal writing curriculum, helped her develop the strong research and writing skills essential for legal success. She was named a Dean’s Scholar and was also involved in numerous organizations on campus, including the Student Bar Association, Black Law Students Association, and the Association of Women Law Students.
Kelli currently works as a staff attorney for the Cherokee County State Court under the Honorable Judge A. Dee Morris, where she continues to strengthen her legal expertise. Her firsthand experience as an Admissions Recruiter gave her valuable insight into what admissions committees look for and sparked her passion for helping aspiring law students find programs that align with their goals. Her combined experience in legal education, admissions, and real-world legal practice reflects her deep commitment to mentoring the next generation of legal professionals.
As a coach, Kelli is structured, detail-oriented, and highly supportive. She blends hands-on guidance with an analytical, goal-oriented approach, helping students navigate each step of the application process with clarity and intention. She builds strong rapport with students, creating a comfortable and encouraging space where they feel confident expressing themselves. At the same time, she brings authoritative insight and efficient strategies to every session, ensuring students stay focused and on track!
