Erin Kelley, a Private LSAT Tutor at Juris Education

Prior to attending the University of Michigan Law School, Erin graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in bioinformatics and molecular biology and a Master's degree in biochemistry and biophysics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. With seven years of tutoring experience, students Erin has tutored have increased their LSAT scores by an average of 9 points, with many achieving 168+ scores.

Before law school, Erin competed as a Division III collegiate athlete in cross country and track and field throughout college. She was selected as captain of RPI’s varsity cross country team, balancing year-round training and competition with a demanding academic schedule. She was also awarded a Dean’s Scholarship and the Rensselaer Merit Award. She completed a four-year undergraduate degree in only three years before earning her Master’s and pursuing law. Erin also completed a technology co-op at Johnson & Johnson and a biochemistry analytical sciences internship at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals.

Erin is a member of the Michigan Law Review and has competed on the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot team. She also won first place in Michigan Law's internal mock trial tournament. Her professional experience includes a summer associate position at Latham & Watkins LLP, where she also accepted a first-year return offer.

Teaching and mentorship have been consistent themes throughout Erin's career. Her experience spans roles as a STEM mentor, substitute teacher, youth coach, and Peace Corps Response Volunteer in the Philippines, where she mentored more than 100 high school and college students and helped develop a data analysis club. Erin’s interdisciplinary background gives her a distinctive approach to the LSAT. She combines the close reading and reasoning skills she developed in law school with the problem-solving mindset of her scientific training.

As an LSAT tutor, Erin focuses on helping students understand not just which answer is correct but why their reasoning led them toward or away from it. She identifies patterns in missed questions and inefficient approaches so students can develop transferable strategies across the exam. Her tutoring style is individualized to each student's strengths, weaknesses, and goals. Erin is passionate about helping students approach LSAT preparation with the confidence and consistency necessary for test day.

A fun fact about Erin is that she has lived in seven states and on three continents!
