Celina received merit scholarships from both her undergraduate and graduate institutions. She founded Illinois Wesleyan University’s Multilingual Accessibility Club, a registered student organization that connects multilingual student volunteers with community organizations in need of interpretation and translation support, for which she was awarded the Weir Fellowship. She served as an Illinois Wesleyan University Writing Center tutor for years, providing individualized advising to students across various disciplines.
As an LSAT tutor, Celina is a proponent of the belief that the LSAT is a learnable test dressed in dense language. She is passionate about helping students reach their full potential by helping them develop a thorough understanding of the logic behind the test. She knows how dense and confusing the LSAT can be, which is why she emphasizes the importance of simplifying the test down to its logical structure.
When working with students, Celina believes in customizing each session, knowing that all students have different needs—she understands that the same student may benefit from different techniques across tutoring sessions. Celina thoroughly analyzes student needs and is always happy to modify the pace or subject matter as needed.
A fun fact about Celina is that she loves quilting and baking. She finds activities that require repeated hand motions to be quite meditative.
