Tamara earned a BA in English with a pre-law minor from Spelman College on a full-ride scholarship. She then earned a JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and an LLM from Washington University School of Law. She has over 18 years of tutoring experience and 16 years of college and graduate school admissions advising experience.

Tamara currently works as an administrative hearing officer at Robert Half Legal and has previously served as an alumnae recruiter for Spelman College and as Assistant Director of The Little Ladybug Foundation, an organization focused on young women's education and empowerment.

Tamara has a keen interest in education law, public interest, and admissions advising. However, admissions advising is more than just a professional pursuit for her—it’s a personal passion. Having experienced its transformative impact firsthand as a student, she deeply appreciates the difference it can make. These personal experiences played a crucial role in shaping her into a high-achieving student throughout her academic journey.

With her diverse legal background, Tamara offers invaluable firsthand expertise to guide students through the law school admissions process, from drafting compelling admissions essays to applying for scholarships. Students Tamara has coached have been accepted to the Washington University School of Law, St. Louis University School of Law, and other schools.

In her free time, Tamara enjoys taking long, early morning and evening walks, and watching documentaries with her family and friends.
