Jarin is a dedicated educator who earned a Bachelor’s degree in history at Brigham Young University before attending Yale Law School. With a personal LSAT score of 176, Jarin has helped numerous students prepare for the LSAT— increasing their scores by as much as 20 points. Professionally, he plans to pursue a career in appellate litigation and policy work.

Jarin has a passion for teaching and a strong background in law, history, and religious studies. At BYU, he focused on 19th-century American politics. His published thesis explores the life of Lewis Charles Levin, the first Jewish Congressman and little-known demagogue. He also spent over a year working as a research assistant at the International Center for Law and Religion Studies at BYU Law. 

In this role, Jarin conducted legal research on religious freedom, contributed to drafting and editing amicus briefs and law review articles, and liaised with foreign dignitaries on sensitive religious freedom policies. His work ranged from briefing UN delegates on Ukrainian-Russian religious freedom violations to traveling to Georgia to meet with Iranian scholars and discuss ongoing academic developments in the Middle East.

Jarin's passion for teaching stems from his family background of educators and his personal experiences overcoming academic challenges. He has developed adaptable, personalized, and effective teaching methods through various roles, including four years as a high school substitute teacher and two years as a research and teaching assistant at Brigham Young University.

Jarin's approach to LSAT tutoring emphasizes that the test is learnable and focuses on developing an intuitive understanding of its underlying nature. He believes in creating a personable, trusting, and patient learning environment where students feel empowered to voice their thoughts. His teaching philosophy is grounded in the idea that with a dedicated study plan, every test-taker can achieve their goals. Jarin’s greatest strengths include his excellent communication skills and the ability to identify students’ weaknesses and strengths. He is excited to help future legal professionals conquer the LSAT! 

Outside of law, Jarin enjoys reggaeton music, sports, and all things Tolkien. He and his wife are the proud cat parents of two obnoxious felines. He is also interested in numismatics (coin-collecting) and aspires to collect as many Roman denarii as possible.
