At the University of Alabama, Andrew was the recipient of the Presidential Scholarship. He wrote his senior thesis for his history major about the role of antitrust law in the mergers and acquisitions boom of the 1980s. While writing it, he began to develop an interest in antitrust law, which cemented his decision to apply to law school after graduation. Eventually, this thesis was chosen for publication in the Crimson Historical Review, the University of Alabama's undergraduate historical journal. He ultimately matriculated to Georgetown Law to avail himself of the school’s excellent connections in the antitrust sector of the legal industry.
Since becoming an LSAT tutor, Andrew has developed a proven process to increase scores through an accessible, common-sense method of tutoring. Andrew believes LSAT scores are improved not by memorizing complex acronyms or through punishing study schedules but by a gradual process of review and improvement. This approach allows students to internalize the skills needed to succeed without burning out.
Students Andrew tutors often report score gains of 10-15 points after only a month or two of tutoring, with especially substantial improvements in the Reading Comprehension section, which is his favorite section to teach. Andrew enjoys tutoring the LSAT because he believes it is a fascinating exam that tests real skills for law school. He is passionate about giving applicants the tools they need not only to succeed on the test but to also hit the ground running in their legal education journeys.
For fun, Andrew enjoys reading about social issues and history, playing basketball and baseball, strength training, and watching college football. He will often spend Saturdays in the fall cheering on the Crimson Tide. Andrew has also read 50 books a year the last three years and hopes to achieve a similar goal this year.

Alex is currently a PhD candidate in politics at Princeton University, where he uses machine learning to study historical political speech. He has worked as an attorney at a large New York law firm, as a program officer for an international NGO, and as a bilingual elementary school teacher through Teach For America. At Princeton, he was a TA for six semesters, leading undergraduate sections in American politics, courts, and comparative politics. He also provided extensive individual instruction and consulting on statistical analysis and programming to undergraduate students through Princeton’s statistical services office.
Alex is deeply committed to student success. He believes the tutor-student relationship should be collaborative and tailored to each individual, beginning by working together to identify the student’s specific goals and areas for improvement. His tutoring philosophy centers on structure with flexibility: having a clear plan but regularly reevaluating and adjusting as necessary. Alex strives to make each session both organized and productive, while fostering a laid-back and open environment where students can feel comfortable and supported.
Alex currently lives in the Philly area but is originally from Seattle. He is still a Seattle Mariners fan, which is typically a source of regret for him.

Elliot’s academic interests include environmental law and conservation. He has significant scientific experience conducting research in evolutionary biology and fieldwork in West Virginia. He has served as an avian field technician for Western EcoSystems Technology, worked as an intern and research assistant at the American Museum of Natural History, and interned for the State of Alaska Department of Law.
With years of LSAT tutoring experience, Elliot has a proven track record of helping students achieve their goals. He focuses on crafting specialized and personalized studying programs for students. He has tailored his teaching to suit students who prefer a more structured approach and those who prefer a more fluid process for solving problems. Regardless of their background or learning style, Elliot enjoys bringing out the best in all aspiring law students. While he has mastered the LSAT, he particularly enjoys teaching the Reading Comprehension section and helping students understand the intricate nuances of the passages.
In his free time, Elliot enjoys birdwatching and spending time with his two younger siblings.
I highly recommend working with Juris! They are absolutely incredible and made the biggest difference in my application journey. I was terrified of this process and felt that I had a lot working against me as I considered law school, with an undergraduate GPA much lower than the average at my top choice programs.
My counselor helped me explain the challenges I faced during my undergraduate years and provided constructive feedback every step of the way. She also helped me stick to my timeline and followed up with me when I was working long hours and needed additional reminders to stay on track with my applications. Her guidance helped me take my confusing career goals and articulate them in a simple way that tied in with my professional background and personal experiences.
When I started receiving invitations to interview, she set aside time to complete a mock interview for every school. I felt fully prepared for each one, to the point that I wasn’t even nervous for the actual interview! I felt more confident in myself and my candidacy by working with her.
She went above and beyond the entire time I worked with her, and I could tell she was just as invested in my JD journey as I was. In the end, I received multiple acceptances with scholarships at many schools, and she helped me navigate negotiating financial aid. I will be attending my top choice, Columbia Law, this fall, and I wouldn’t be here without Juris. Beyond my applications, her guidance has helped me refine my career goals and identify what I really want to accomplish during my JD program. I can’t thank her enough and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her!

When I started working with Juris, I had no idea what I wanted to do with a JD and they were instrumental in getting me focused on specific target areas that made sense for me. I got into my top choice - NYU - and I would not have been able to do that without their expertise and extreme attention to detail.

I worked closely with Amy to draft and edit my resume, essays, and other application materials for 15 JD programs. Amy was a terrific partner who delivered feedback quickly and helped me brainstorm new ideas when I was feeling stuck. I was accepted by 8 of my target programs, and owe much of my success to Amy’s help. Thanks, Amy and Team Juris!
