Samuel graduated magna cum laude from New York University before pursuing his legal education. After scoring a 173 on the LSAT, he was accepted to several prestigious institutions and ultimately chose Harvard Law School. With six years of experience as an LSAT instructor, he has mentored around 300 students. His expert guidance has helped students secure admissions to top law schools, including Harvard, Yale, Stanford, UChicago, Columbia, UPenn, Michigan, Duke, Cornell, and UCLA.

Samuel's unique blend of academic excellence and real-world experience sets him apart as an LSAT tutor. His journey began in the vibrant city of Seoul, South Korea, where, as a newspaper reporter, he developed a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of diverse perspectives. At the renowned Pagoda Academy in South Korea, Samuel specialized in teaching the LSAT, GRE, and other subjects to non-native English speakers. This experience has honed his ability to distill complex LSAT concepts into clear, understandable lessons, making him a particularly effective tutor for students from various linguistic backgrounds.

Witnessing the success of his students, many of whom were ESL learners, Samuel has become a staunch advocate for the transformative power of dedicated effort, or “no-oh-ryuk” in Korean. He firmly believes that mastery of the LSAT is directly proportional to the time and effort invested in understanding and practicing its intricacies.

Drawing from his extensive LSAT coaching experience, Samuel possesses unique insights into the exam and generously shares his knowledge with applicants. His goal is to help students achieve their target scores and secure admission to their dream law schools, no matter their background or circumstances.

As a tutor, Samuel offers personalized guidance and targeted strategies on how to improve students’ LSAT scores as efficiently as possible. He understands that the LSAT is a challenging exam and that each student has their own strengths and weaknesses. Samuel works closely with candidates to identify areas for improvement and develop a customized study plan that fits their needs.

In his spare time, Samuel enjoys watching his favorite TV shows like Homeland, Girls, Key & Peele, and Midnight Diner, as well as classic movies such as Armageddon, My Girl, Forrest Gump, and A Bitter Sweetlife. He stays informed by reading The New York Times and stays active by trail biking, swimming, and playing soccer. Samuel also enjoys playing Chinese chess and is a huge fan of Korean food.
