Liam Murphy, a Law School Admissions Consultant at Juris Education

Liam attended the University of Kansas on a full-ride scholarship, graduating with honors as valedictorian with a BA in communication studies and political science. He later earned a management certificate from the Wharton School and his JD from the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where he served as Chair of the Moot Court Board. With over a decade of mentoring experience, Liam brings both academic excellence and practical insight to his coaching.

Liam attended UPenn on a half-tuition scholarship. In addition to his role as Chair of the Moot Court Board, Liam was also an Articles Editor for the University of Pennsylvania Journal of Constitutional Law, Class Representative for the Council of Student Representatives, and received the Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award. During law school, Liam gained legal experience as a judicial intern for the Hon. Raymond Dearie of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

After law school, Liam began his legal career in New York City, practicing plaintiff-side financial litigation and white-collar criminal defense at Paul Hastings, where he contributed to several high-profile defense acquittals in white-collar cases. He later joined Selendy Gay PLLC, handling high-stakes trial, appellate, and white-collar matters, and then McKool Smith, where he represented clients in complex financial disputes, including post-bankruptcy litigation for Celsius.

Liam’s passion for teaching led him to serve as an advisor at Yale Law School’s Private Law Clinic, where he taught cryptocurrency litigation and mentored future attorneys. Today, Liam combines his litigation background with his entrepreneurial spirit as the Founding Partner of Murphy’s Law: The Crypto Law Firm, where he represents clients in high-stakes cryptocurrency litigation and blockchain investigations.

Liam earned acceptances to seven T-14 law schools, giving him firsthand insight into what it takes to stand out in a highly competitive admissions process. He draws on this experience—along with his professional background—to help aspiring law students craft compelling applications and gain admission to the nation’s most selective schools, including Harvard Law and Stanford Law.

As a coach, Liam is structured and goal-oriented, providing clear, step-by-step guidance tailored to each student’s unique path. He prioritizes measurable milestones to keep students on track toward admission success. Above all, he is encouraging, helping students build confidence and resilience throughout the competitive application process.

A fun fact about Liam is that his first book, Crypto Winter: The Rise & Fall of Billion-Dollar Crypto Empires, became the #1 new release on Amazon in the Bitcoin & Cryptocurrencies category.
