Marcelius is a first-generation college graduate with a BS in political science, philosophy, and economics with an African studies certificate from the University of Pittsburgh, an MA in philosophy from the University of Missouri, and a JD from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He received full scholarships for his undergraduate and graduate education, as well as a partial scholarship while attending the UNC School of Law. Marcelius is currently pursuing a Doctor of education from Penn State University. 

With a focus on diversity issues, Marcelius most recently served as the leader of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Bexley City School District in Bexley, Ohio. He previously served as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator at Capital University Law School, overseeing the Department of Diversity and Inclusion. 

He also worked as the Student Service Coordinator for Student Diversity, Outreach, and Women's Programs at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Additionally, he has experience as an adjunct professor at Capital University and Austin Peay State University. He has experience teaching courses in philosophy, political science, African studies, African American studies, leadership and organizational administration, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

With extensive admissions experience, Marcelius has a deep understanding of what it takes to craft a compelling and standout application. His diverse background in education, advocacy, and student affairs has uniquely equipped him to excel in guiding law school applicants through every step of the process. He excels at working with students from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate the complexities of the application process and find the law school that best aligns with their goals and interests. Talia has guided students to admission at many law schools, including the George Washington Law School, Boston University School of Law, New York Law School, Rutgers Law School, and others. She is fervent about mentoring students through the complex and competitive journey of applying to law school. She understands how difficult and confusing the admissions process can be, and is committed to making it more manageable by helping applicants stay organized and goal-oriented at each step. 

As a coach, Talia’s strength lies in her meticulous approach to personal statements, ensuring applicants find the perfect combination of precision and creativity. She believes in the importance of presenting an authentic and compelling narrative, and she helps students identify and highlight their unique strengths so that their individuality shines. 

In addition to her love of mentoring, Talia also brings her wide breadth of industry knowledge to the application process. Being well-versed in the challenges and expectations of the legal world, Talia knows what will make an applicant stand out as a prospective attorney.  

When she is not coaching, Talia enjoys becoming lost, whether it be in the trees of a solitary hike, other worlds of a deep television binge, or the intricacies of a complicated baking endeavor.

Zev holds a Bachelor's in political science and government from Touro University, where he served as vice president of the Political Science Club and editor of the Political Science Journal. Zev discovered his passion for academic coaching while studying and through his experience coaching high school basketball. He came to understand the rewarding nature of playing a part in helping students achieve their dreams. He enjoys seeing students, often for the first time, actually voice what drives them, excites them, and even scares them. Zev takes great satisfaction in guiding students to translate those feelings into exceptional application materials.

As a coach, Zev’s coaching style is both supportive and motivating. His greatest strength is helping students identify what is important to them and guiding them to accomplish their goals accurately and efficiently. With expertise as a seasoned lawyer, he is well-positioned and eager to share insights about his path to law school, the steps to gaining admission to top law schools, and the career opportunities available to aspiring students. He is excited to help students embark on their journey to law school!

In his spare time, Zev enjoys coaching and playing basketball, running, and spending quality time with his family. His passion for running keeps him active, and his commitment to his family keeps him grounded.

While at Perkins, Diksha learned about transactional and regulatory practice areas of law, but she always wanted to study law to be a litigator. And so, in law school, she took every opportunity to understand what litigation practice entails and what it takes to be a litigator. During her 2L year, she worked at Shook, Hardy and Bacon LLP, where she assisted attorneys in conducting several depositions in multi-district product liability litigation and drafted several pre-trial motions on toxic tort cases. She also interned for Hon. Judge Barry Baskin, where she worked on several complex commercial litigation matters involving antitrust vertical integration and product liability.

Diksha is deeply passionate about law and advocacy, with extensive experience tutoring public speaking and 1L law courses. Her exceptional public speaking skills have earned her a gold medal in the NCF Persuasive Speaking Spring Flings Tournament, the "World Changer" award in public speaking, and a finalist position in the Arnold & Porter Government Contracts Moot Court. She also recently received a President's Award (Gold) for Outstanding Pro Bono Services. These achievements highlight her talent for teaching students to communicate effectively and present themselves compellingly. 

As a coach, Diksha is driven by a desire to help students succeed. She excels at breaking down the daunting application process into manageable steps and helping candidates determine their strengths. She personalizes her coaching approach for each student, guiding them to present their best selves to top-tier law schools. Additionally, Diksha helps students understand how to craft a compelling application and ensures they stay on track throughout the application process. Diksha is excited to help Juris students reach their full potential!

In her free time, Diksha enjoys helping others and winding down her day with a glass of passion fruit wine.

While studying at Seton Hall, Gerard held the crucial position of law clerk for the Newark Housing Coalition, where he focused on landlord-tenant issues. In his final year, he also participated in the Center for Social Justice Clinic, assisting veterans with veterans affairs issues and aiding clients with wills and estate issues. Currently, he serves as an attorney for a mid-sized law firm in Cherry Hill, NJ.

As the first person in his family to graduate from college and attend law school, Gerard is passionate about guiding others through the application process. Throughout his own admissions process, he had a number of mentors who helped guide him along his journey. Additionally, as a first-generation lawyer, he benefited from having individuals who knew the process and could help with any issues. He aims to pay it forward by providing applicants with the necessary guidance to create successful applications.

One of Gerard's crowning achievements as a coach is his ability to identify what stands out for each student. He ensures that law school admissions teams recognize each individual’s unique skill set to accurately assess their potential as law students. He also excels at helping students identify suitable recommenders, fine-tune resumes, and prepare for interviews. By accommodating busy schedules and maintaining effective deadlines, he aids students in crafting strong law school applications.

When not engaged in coaching, Gerard immerses himself in activities such as playing golf, attending his kids’ sports events, and enjoying beach days.

Professionally, Corey has held several prestigious positions, including externing at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, interning at the United States Federal District Courthouse Clerk’s Office, and serving as an assistant negotiator on the National Broadcast L'Oréal team. She specializes in investigations, with a focus on complex commercial litigation. She is dedicated to her pro bono work, which includes advocacy and legal efforts focused on disability rights, reproductive rights, and environmental justice.

Corey understands that the law school application process can be daunting for students and is passionate about making it as easy and manageable as possible. Students she has coached have been accepted to some of the nation’s top law schools, including NYU, Brooklyn Law, and Boston College.

With years of coaching experience, her approach involves guiding students through every step of the journey—from selecting school lists to finalizing applications. Her goal is to ensure the process is stress-free and tailored to each student's needs. As a coach, Corey excels at identifying students' strengths and breaking down the application process into manageable steps. She is adept at guiding applicants in submitting competitive and thorough applications, helping them realize their full potential.

In her spare time, Corey chases after her two toddlers, reads romantic comedies, and bakes.

Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree from Temple University, where he majored in political science and government while honing his marketing and social media skills. He realized he had a passion for education while coaching several colleagues throughout their law school application journeys. He thoroughly enjoys sharing valuable insider knowledge to help students get into law school and feels strongly about the importance of passing the baton to the next generation of great lawyers. Students Michael has coached have been accepted to Georgetown, the University of Miami, Drexel University, Rutgers University, Penn State University, and other prestigious law schools. 

A Philadelphia native, Michael takes pride in serving his community and utilizing his professional network to collaborate on community-based initiatives to improve quality of life. He is an advocate for innovative housing policy, direct community investment, and affordable education. Michael also advocates for immigrant communities, using his fluency in Spanish to encourage communication, mutual aid, and shared security. His strong background in public service, including his volunteer work as a community mediator, has also made him enthusiastic about helping those in need, dedicating hours to solving the hardest problems people face. 

As a counselor, Michael prioritizes drafting documents that reflect a future applicants want to strive for. As future lawyers, Michael believes aspirants should strive to think back on the communities that brought them to this pivotal moment. They should reassert their values, their heritage, and the needs of people they’ve encountered, whom they want to represent.

As a coach, Michael works to understand who students are, encouraging them to write not just about why they’re the best candidates, but why who they are would make them great law school students. He understands that all students have unique experiences, talents and personalities. He aims to help applicants bring that from pen to paper in a voice they can recognize as being truly their own. He also enjoys directing students to pursue institutions with specific goals in mind based on their strengths, passions, and personal circumstances. Michael is excited to help students get into their dream schools and achieve future career success!

Michael enjoys spending his leisure time painting, sculpting with clay, and hiding his favorite traditional pieces along rest stops on hiking trails. He bakes occasionally, working on sculpting chocolate, cake, and a variety of confectionary pieces for cultural events.

Over the last decade, Erin has been a distinguished leader in the nonprofit sector, where she has excelled in forging strategic partnerships, ensuring philanthropic compliance, and managing charitable campaigns. Erin is the Chief Executive Officer of Calloway & Co., where she supports nonprofit clients as a licensed fundraising counsel and solicitor. 

As a proponent of community outreach and stakeholder engagement, Erin has spearheaded numerous public health initiatives in collaboration with local hospitals and agencies while managing a diverse portfolio of major and corporate donors. Erin encourages collaboration as a keen connector of people and mission-oriented trailblazing. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the American Health Law Association, and the Pediatric Clinical Ethics Committee at Children’s National Hospital.

Erin’s approach to law school admission consulting and essay development is rooted in empowering each applicant to share their unique story while showcasing their strengths. Erin believes in fostering collaboration and thoughtful reflection, helping students craft compelling narratives that highlight their potential and align with their aspirations. With a focus on precision, creativity, and clarity, Erin guides applicants in presenting their best selves to admissions committees.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Erin enjoys mentoring young professionals, hosting dinner parties, and traveling.

Sriya completed her BA in economics at Kenyon College. She has interned at notable firms, including Jenner & Block, and has served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Malaysia. Before her law school journey, she spent three years researching and coaching herself through the admissions process. Through years of self-study, she gained a strong understanding of how to navigate law school admissions. Sriya is passionate about sharing her experience and what she has learned to help students put their best foot forward to admissions committees. 

Sriya has extensive experience as an admissions coach helping applicants at all stages of the law school application process, from assessing whether attending law school aligns with their goals to editing statements to walking them through submitting applications. She genuinely enjoys getting to know students, answering their questions, and helping them craft impactful applications. 

As a coach, Sriya excels at helping applicants brainstorm quality personal statement ideas. She also has specialized experience with GPA and LSAT addenda, helping numerous applicants navigate how to best structure them. In addition to her expertise in law school applications, Sriya has extensive experience coaching students through interviews. She guides students through their interview nerves, helping them deliver genuine and purposeful responses.

Sriya takes each student's efforts, time, and dreams seriously. She loves sharing her experiences at different big law firms with students, passing on advice from established lawyers, and sharing networking basics that can change a student's law school experience. 

When Sriya isn't coaching, she loves watching movies, reading, and dancing.

At the University of Pittsburgh, Renata graduated with a Bachelor's degree in history and philosophy of science, a minor in the administration of justice, and a certificate in children's literature. During college, she served as a member of the Lambda Sigma Honors Society Selections Committee. She was also awarded the Freddie T. Davy Scholarship by the National Collegiate Honors Council, as well as the Dean's Award from the University of Pittsburgh Honors College. Renata has also co-hosted a law student podcast, Let's Brief It, sponsored by the D.C. Bar, that was formed to familiarize prospective and current law students with different areas of the law and the legal profession. 

Renata loves coaching and mentoring students, helping them reach their personal and professional goals. Having received mentorship throughout her own law school application process, she understands the value a great coach has to applicants. Just like her mentors, Renata is passionate about helping students build their confidence and identify their strengths, contributing to a successful law school admission. Students she has coached have been accepted to law schools at Georgetown University, the University of Virginia, and UCLA, among others. 

As a coach, Renata’s greatest strength is looking beyond the technical criteria of a successful law school application, such as a student’s GPA and LSAT score. She takes a holistic approach and aims to help candidates express their full, authentic selves within their application. She encourages and helps applicants stay true to themselves throughout the process and is excited to work with students ready to start their legal education journeys. 

A fun fact about Renata is that she was a competitive gymnast (level 10) growing up and still enjoys jumping on trampolines in her free time. 

At Boston College, Rachel received the Award for Clinical Excellence for her work with the school’s Innocence Clinic and has been published in the University of Hawaiʻi Law Review. Rachel has clerked for the Rhode Island Supreme Court, worked at Gutman, Mintz, Baker & Sonnenfeldt LLP, and is now the Founder and CEO of R.F. Woods Consulting. 

Rachel's educational experiences are invaluable to her, so she decided to use her talents to help others achieve their educational aspirations. She understands how overwhelming and anxiety-ridden the law school application process can be. She loves taking that burden away from applicants by breaking down the process to be more straightforward and understandable. Her goal as a coach is to reduce stress for applicants, allowing future law students to focus on highlighting their strengths and achieving their educational goals.

When working with applicants, Rachel strives to keep the mood light and the environment calm and relaxed. Once she has achieved a relaxed atmosphere and a student’s trust, she works to break down materials so the process is manageable, organized, and can be completed efficiently. Rachel’s greatest strengths as a coach include creating realistic timelines and helping students create standout personal statements and resumes. 

In her spare time, Rachel enjoys home organization, traveling to visit family, and spending time with her husband, daughters, and dog.
