Elizabeth attended UNC-CH as a Morehead Foundation Scholar, graduating summa cum laude. While earning her JD, Elizabeth won the first-year Client Counseling Competition and the first-year Excellence in Oral Advocacy Award. She was a member of the Women’s Law Caucus, served as the St. Louis Women’s Law Association Student Liaison, and won CALI Awards for Advanced Negotiation and Real Estate Negotiation.

With 15 years of coaching experience, Elizabeth has held various roles as a teacher, lawyer, journalist, and editor. She has taught for 12+ years in a variety of school settings, including teaching college-level writing and composition. As an attorney, she worked in private practice and at Bank of America as a trust settlement officer. As a journalist and editor, she wrote news analysis and feature articles for print and online media, and acted as an editor and mentor to numerous staff writers and freelance writers. Elizabeth currently teaches at an independent school, volunteers to tutor students learning English as a second language, and serves as a volunteer alumni application reviewer for the Morehead-Cain Foundation Scholarship.

Throughout Elizabeth’s varied background, the common thread has been her love of mentoring and coaching. She has consistently found deep joy in working with individuals to bring out their best selves, whether through guiding freelance writers, teaching composition to high school or college-level students, or guiding families through the estate planning process.

As an admissions coach, Elizabeth excels at demystifying the law school admissions process and making it more manageable. Her approach provides a balance between supportive advice and ensuring applicants have space to tell their own, authentic story. Elizabeth especially enjoys guiding applicants to hone their personal statements so that their writing truly reflects what makes them stand out as applicants. Additionally, her project management experience and organizational skills help applicants stay on track and finish strong.

At Howard, Monét was deeply involved in both academics and community service. She held leadership roles in the National Council of Negro Women, the Howard University Student Association Policy Board, Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International, and the Howard University Mock Trial Team, where she served as Captain. As a decorated competitor, she won awards at every level of collegiate mock trial, ultimately earning the All-American Attorney Award—the highest national honor in college mock trial. She brought this expertise to the Envision Intensive Law & Trial Program, where she worked each summer as a Mock Trial Advisor, coaching high school scholars on argument structure, public speaking, and courtroom presence. Recognized for her excellence in scholarship and leadership, she was named the Legal Communications Exemplar, delivering the keynote address at her department’s Senior Recognition Ceremony.

At Cornell Law School, Monét continued her passion for trial advocacy, winning the school’s mock trial competition as a first-year student and later serving as Vice President of the Mock Trial Board. She also competed in Moot Court and was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Trial Advocacy. Beyond the courtroom, she served as President of the Black Law Students Association, where she organized impactful programming, mentored pre-law students, and cultivated a more inclusive academic environment.

After graduating, Monét began her legal career at Kasowitz Benson Torres LLP, a top-tier litigation firm known for handling high-profile, complex legal disputes. As a litigation associate, she contributed to multimillion-dollar cases across commercial, intellectual property, and employment law, earning praise for her strategic thinking, persuasive writing, and attention to detail. Even while managing demanding caseloads, she has remained committed to mentorship—offering guidance to interns, mentees, and aspiring lawyers every step of the way. Even outside of work, Monét remains deeply invested in service. She teaches mock trial to high school students, prioritizes pro bono work in her legal practice, and volunteers at American Bar Association and law school events to support and inspire the next generation of legal professionals.

Kae’la passed the bar exam with a score high enough to practice in any U.S. jurisdiction. Her legal experience spans a wide range of practice areas, including real estate, family law, bankruptcy, intellectual property, and public safety litigation. 

Most recently, Kae’la served as a law clerk at Pace Group PLLC, where she conducted in-depth research and drafted legal memoranda on real estate transactions and property disputes. As a summer associate in the Public Safety Division at the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia, she contributed to litigation strategy and statutory interpretation. Her previous roles also include student attorney in the Intellectual Property Patent Clinic—where she successfully filed two utility patent applications with the USPTO—and Fellow with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Legal Reform, where she analyzed the legal impact of federal decisions and regulatory policies on American businesses.

Kae’la is deeply committed to public service and educational equity, demonstrated by her volunteer work with McKinley Middle School and the Public Defender’s Office in New Orleans. Her professional interests continue to evolve around real estate, finance, and estate planning, all while maintaining a strong foundation in legal research, advocacy, and strategic analysis.

As a coach, Kae’la draws on her wide-ranging legal experience and leadership background to provide structured, hands-on support. With a friendly and encouraging approach to admissions consulting, she creates a supportive environment that helps students build confidence while paying close attention to the details that make an application stand out.

While in law school, Rhonda was a member of the Braun National Trial Team and served on the North Carolina Law Review. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Rhonda began her legal career at an international law firm based in Atlanta, Georgia. After five years in BigLaw, she launched her own law practice, focusing on family law, before transitioning to a role with the North Carolina Judicial Branch, where she continues to serve the public.

As a first-generation college and law school graduate, Rhonda deeply understands the challenges of navigating the admissions process without a clear roadmap. With over 20 years of mentoring experience, she has honed the ability to guide students with clarity, empathy, and strategic insight.

As a coach, Rhonda is approachable, goal-oriented, detail-focused, and a big-picture thinker. She creates a comfortable, encouraging environment for students while keeping them focused on their long-term goals and helping ensure every element of their application is thoughtfully crafted.

A fun fact about Rhonda is that she’s currently helping her teenage daughter through the college admissions process!

Prior to law school, Bekah graduated summa cum laude with a BA in political science and a minor in business administration from Baylor University. During college, Bekah was a star advocate representing the university in regional and national undergraduate moot court competitions, wherein she was recognized as a Top 15 National Speaker multiple times. Following graduation, she took a gap year to gain meaningful experience, working as a fellow at a nonprofit economic organization, providing private academic tutoring, leading the praise team at her Spanish-speaking home church, and dedicating time to studying for the LSAT. 

At Stanford Law, Bekah was an active community member, serving on the boards of both the Stanford Latinx Law Student Association and the Stanford Law School Christian Fellowship. She also volunteered with the Naturalization Pro Bono Clinic and represented clients as a student attorney in the Religious Liberty Clinic. Bekah further demonstrated her commitment to legal scholarship as an Articles Editor for the Stanford Law & Policy Review. Following law school, she completed a clerkship at the U.S. District Court and later at the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court. Then, Bekah moved to New York City to begin her legal career at an international law firm, where she worked on complex commercial litigation matters. She is a licensed member of the New York Bar, the New York Junior League, the Puerto Rican Bar Association, and the New York Guild of Catholic Lawyers.

As a coach, Bekah enjoys working with all students ready to navigate the law school admissions process. She approaches consulting with a thoughtful, empathetic lens and a strong commitment to student success. Bekah is personally invested in guiding each applicant toward their highest potential, tailoring her guidance to reflect their individual strengths and goals. With a focus on tailored strategy and consistent accountability, she ensures students receive both structure and encouragement throughout the application process. Bekah is fluent in English and Spanish. She is also a native of San Antonio, Texas (so she knows good Tex-Mex food!) and is now living her best life as a litigator in New York City, where she enjoys Broadway shows, the diverse foods, immersive street pop-ups, and visiting different boroughs.

Karen began her higher education journey with a BA in Latin American studies from Vanderbilt University. She was named to the Dean’s List every semester while in college and received the Texas Law Dean's Achievement Award in Immigration and Environmental Law while in law school. Following her graduation in the top 10% of her class from Texas Law, Karen was inducted into the Order of the Coif. 

Her practice has focused principally on refugee protection in law and policy. Karen’s interest in this area began before law school, when she worked in Guatemala and witnessed many factors driving displacement. After law school, she spent five years providing direct legal services to dozens of asylum seekers, helping them navigate a complex process to obtain relief. Subsequently, she spent over four years working on legal and policy issues at the UN Refugee Agency. In her role, she led initiatives to better align US law with standards under international refugee and human rights law, such as by drafting technical comments to proposed regulations and preparing amicus briefs to file in strategic federal litigation, including before the US Supreme Court.

Over the years, Karen has benefited significantly from the counsel of wonderful mentors and deeply enjoyed mentoring law students and young attorneys. She is passionate about and dedicated to supporting individuals who aspire to attend law school and pursue legal careers, drawing on a decade of coaching experience. As a former Clinical Teaching Fellow & Supervising Attorney at Georgetown University Law Center, she worked with students as they considered decisions about summer internships and post-graduation career paths, helped them identify opportunities that appealed to their interests, and provided strategic guidance on how to present themselves as strong candidates and achieve their goals.

Elizabeth is a US-qualified immigration attorney with a distinctive international career spanning the United States, United Kingdom, Central Africa, and now France. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and remains actively involved in pro bono immigration work through Immigration Lawyers for Justice. She is also the Founder and Head of Legal at EightyTwenty LLC, a boutique legal search firm based between Paris and London. Since launching the firm in 2023, Elizabeth has built a reputation for strategic, ethical recruitment, with 20% of each placement fee donated to charities chosen by the candidates themselves. Her clients include top-tier US, Magic Circle, and Silver Circle firms, as well as in-house legal departments spanning all major global markets.

Elizabeth's legal practice roots run deep. As Principal Attorney at A2A Immigration in Libreville, Gabon, she specialized in complex US immigration cases for clients in central and West Africa, balancing her caseload with pro bono work supporting female and LGBTQ+ asylum seekers and students. Her earlier roles include working with the Camden Community Law Centre in London and contributing to successful exoneration efforts with The Exoneration Project in Chicago, where her advocacy helped overturn a wrongful felony murder conviction.

As a coach, Elizabeth brings firsthand experience to her coaching, having been accepted to over a dozen law schools and earning scholarships from nearly all of them—including three full-ride offers. Her own success navigating the admissions process informs her approach, and she uses that insight to help students craft standout applications and secure the best possible outcomes.

Elizabeth takes a structured and hands-on approach, guiding students through each stage of the process with clarity and intention. She provides step-by-step support to keep students organized and focused, while working closely with them to build strong, compelling applications. Her goal is not just to help students submit polished materials but to empower students with a clear understanding of the process and the confidence to navigate it successfully.

In her free time, Elizabeth directs Arts & Letters Saint-Ouen, a creative collective publishing its first issue in summer 2025, and is an active member of La Plume Anglaise and Paris Lit Up.

Corie graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, where she graduated cum laude and was honored with the H. Hill Award in English Literature, one of the Berkeley English department’s highest honors. She received her law degree from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she served as an Editor of the Entertainment Law Review and also completed the school’s prestigious entertainment law program. As a law student, Corie was recognized twice for academic excellence as a Teaching Fellow, once in constitutional law and once in contracts. She began publishing academic research while still a student at UCLA, where a paper that she co-authored with a faculty member served as a springboard for her academic career.

After graduating, Corie began her extensive legal education journey. As Professor of Academic Theory and a Lecturer in Law, she first taught at Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law before becoming a Legal Writing Professor at the University of Colorado’s Wolf Law School. As a professor, Corie’s passion has always been supporting law students to be the very best scholars and test-takers they can be. She has designed and taught courses focused on legal writing and analysis, as well as cross-disciplinary courses that integrated topics in property, constitutional law, and contracts. Her goal has always been bringing out the very best in students by developing a warm and supportive relationship while pushing them to realize peak performance. Her success in supporting students has helped some of them move from the bottom of the class to the very top. She knows precisely how powerful the right support at the right time can be, and she brings that expertise to each counseling session.

As an author, Corie has published numerous major academic articles, two books, several shorter works of fiction, and has contributed to anthologies and textbooks. Her writing has also been featured on NPR and nominated for the National Book Award and Katherine Anne Porter Prize for Fiction. She brings her profound understanding of and belief in the power of narrative to her work in admissions consulting. She knows that there is almost nothing more powerful than a good story, well told, and she applies that understanding to the application process. Corie uses her narrative mastery to support students ready to develop and deepen their personal stories in the service of their admissions materials.

Corie’s experience in working with students, especially in supporting them as writers and legal thinkers, gained her national, and in some cases, international recognition. She has published dozens of academic papers, spoken at conferences in many places in the United States and Europe, and even taught American legal writing as an invited exchange faculty member at the Université Paris Descartes. She has also served as faculty for the prestigious pre-law program run by the Council for Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO), a program focused on helping non-traditional and first-generation law students achieve their very best as first-year law students in law schools all around the country.

As a coach, Corie combines her in-depth knowledge of the admissions process with a strong commitment to helping students reach their full potential. She understands what it takes to stand out in a highly competitive admissions environment. While serving on the admissions committee at Wolf Law, she reviewed more than 1,000 applications, evaluating personal statements, writing samples, and overall profiles before making recommendations to the deans. Corie knows how to ask thoughtful, strategic questions to help applicants uncover their strengths, and she builds a supportive, collaborative relationship that encourages students to present their most compelling and authentic selves.

Esha’s academic journey began at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. Her academic and professional trajectory has been marked by leadership and service, including founding the American India Foundation (AIF) Chicago Young Professionals chapter and raising its first $15,000. 

She also actively contributes to Penn Law’s International Human Rights Association and the Financial Literacy Project, where she supports underserved communities in navigating complex financial systems. Adding to her experience, she served as Chief of Staff at a private equity firm, leading cross-functional initiatives and overseeing portfolio company performance. Essha is passionate about combining her legal and business training to explore the intersections of private equity, innovation, and social impact. 

Esha’s greatest strengths as an admissions counselor lie in her ability to bring clarity, structure, and strategy to even the most non-traditional or complex application journeys. She excels at helping students distill multifaceted experiences into cohesive, values-driven narratives that resonate. Known for her empathy and editorial finesse, Esha provides tailored guidance that empowers applicants to present their most authentic selves while ensuring every detail aligns with their overarching goals. Students she has coached have been accepted to numerous T-14 law schools, including UPenn, Duke, Harvard, UChicago, Northwestern, Georgetown, and UVA. 

Her coaching style is a thoughtful blend of big-picture vision and detail-oriented execution. She begins with strategic planning and reflection, then works closely with students to refine their personal statements, resumes, and interview strategies. As someone who has advised and mentored peers across various disciplines and geographies, Esha is incredibly passionate about helping applicants with diverse experiences, including those from underrepresented backgrounds, interdisciplinary fields, or those pivoting careers.

Outside of admissions coaching, Esha loves experimenting with modern Indian recipes and uncovering the cultural history behind everyday food. She's also a movie buff who believes the best stories are the ones that make you feel seen.

Pranami has worked at various renowned firms, including the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), where she researched securities regulations and assisted with compliance investigations. At another firm, Temenos, she worked on software licensing agreements and corporate governance projects, gaining hands-on experience with contracts and international business. She’s also worked as a compliance analyst, where she helped ensure companies followed regulations and monitored their transactions.

During her undergraduate years, Pranami served as a mentor to pre-law students, helping them navigate the admissions process as they applied to top law schools. She believes in making legal education accessible and relatable and aims to empower aspiring legal professionals to achieve their goals. Drawing from her own experiences, she understands how daunting the application process can be and the challenges of standing out in such a competitive field. She takes pride in helping students navigate this journey by breaking it into manageable steps and providing guidance and support every step of the way.

As a coach, Pranami's greatest strengths lie in her unwavering focus and meticulous attention to detail. She invests time in understanding each student’s unique story, strengths, and aspirations, firmly believing that everyone has something extraordinary to offer. Her mission is to help students uncover and present their best, most authentic selves in a powerful way. Pranami also provides constructive feedback with kindness and encouragement, ensuring students know where to improve while fostering confidence and motivation throughout the process.

Outside of work, Pranami enjoys hot yoga and writing Shayari (Urdu poetry). She believes that blending creativity with structure is the key to success, whether it’s in law, business, or helping someone land their dream opportunity.

Her experience has given Ashari great insight into pro bono criminal defense and policy work, litigation, and white-collar investigations. Ashari actively engages in pro bono legal initiatives and was very involved within the Duke community. She served as the Director of Finance within the Black Law Students Association, the Academic Director of First Class, a Case Manager and Social Media Coordinator for the Innocence Project, and contributed to several pro bono projects and initiatives. Her work and contributions reflect her commitment to using the law to drive positive change. 

Ashari is passionate about coaching applicants because she enjoys helping them gain the upper hand in the law school process, something she felt she did not have as a first-generation student. Now, she’s dedicated to providing counseling to students to make the process less overwhelming and more manageable. Students Ashari has coached have been accepted to law schools at Wake Forest University, the University of Georgia, and the University of Illinois.

As a coach, Ashari’s greatest strength is her own unconventional background. She wasn't the typical law school applicant and brings this unique perspective to her coaching, understanding that each student’s journey is different and that there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes listening first and advising second. She believes that by truly understanding each student's interests, ambitions, and goals, she can help them build strong, personalized applications that resonate with their narrative.

In her free time, Ashari enjoys cooking and experimenting with new cuisines. 

Harriet earned a Bachelor's degree in finance with a minor in law and society from the University of Maryland, College Park. During college, Harriet studied business abroad in Vienna, Austria, held multiple leadership roles, and worked in the Education Abroad Office.

While studying at Duke University School of Law, Harriet was involved in various organizations, including the International Law Society, Black Law Student Association, Women of Color Collective, and Competition Law Society. As a student representative, she spoke with prospective students about the Duke community and connected applicants with current law students with similar interests. Additionally, she participated in the International Human Rights Clinic and Health Justice Clinic. 

As the first person in her family to attend law school in the U.S., Harriet is passionate about coaching others through the application process and leveraging her background, education, and professional experiences to guide students to their dream careers. She aims to share her knowledge and connections to help applicants submit successful applications and choose the right academic environment in which to thrive. 

Harriet recognizes that the law school application process involves numerous factors and choices. She excels at cost-benefit analyses of law schools and ensures students make informed choices that prioritize their goals. Harriet believes each candidate can create a competitive application when the process is broken into manageable steps. Tamara currently works as an administrative hearing officer at Robert Half Legal and has previously served as an alumnae recruiter for Spelman College and as Assistant Director of The Little Ladybug Foundation, an organization focused on young women's education and empowerment.

Tamara has a keen interest in education law, public interest, and admissions advising. However, admissions advising is more than just a professional pursuit for her—it’s a personal passion. Having experienced its transformative impact firsthand as a student, she deeply appreciates the difference it can make. These personal experiences played a crucial role in shaping her into a high-achieving student throughout her academic journey.

Michael is a dedicated legal professional with a robust background in civil rights, criminal defense, post-conviction work, and higher education administration. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a commitment to student success and institutional integrity. He has developed behavioral intervention teams, prosecuted cases on behalf of universities, and managed social media platforms and day-to-day student affairs operations through his pipeline program. His legal expertise has been further honed through clerkships and legal assistant roles, where he conducted legal research, drafted motions, and provided defense strategies. Michael's accomplishments reflect his diligence, leadership, and passion for advancing education and legal justice.

As a coach, Michael prioritizes openness and honesty when sharing his professional insights, ensuring students understand the realities of their chosen path. Nitin has held numerous prestigious positions within the legal field, including associate at Mayer Brown, legal extern at the U.S. Department of State, and legislative intern at the U.S. House of Representatives. Currently, he serves as a judicial law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, bringing insight from a wide range of professional experiences in both the private and public sectors. Nitin has hosted multiple panels related to politics and international and national security through The Federalist Society.

Nitin also has extensive research experience, having collaborated with professors at both Cornell and Johns Hopkins, as well as interning at the American Enterprise Institute. His professional interests include international law, white-collar practice, global and internal investigations, and transnational litigation. 

Nitin is enthusiastic about making opportunities that have become available to him more accessible for others. As an immigrant and first-generation law student, he understands that the law school admissions process can be stressful and opaque, and he values being proactive in clearing up any confusion or uncertainty for applicants. Nitin offers an informed perspective on dealing with and overcoming challenges and setbacks. 

Nitin’s greatest strength as a coach lies in his personable approach. He is committed to resolving any questions or concerns students may have, offering a reliable and accessible source of support throughout their journey. He prides himself on his adaptability, tailoring his approach to fit each student’s individual needs and goals. By effectively assessing students’ strengths and vulnerabilities, Nitin ensures they submit the best applications possible. Students Nitin has recently coached have been accepted at top law schools, including NYU, Berkeley, Duke, and Cornell.

In his free time, Nitin enjoys learning about history, electoral politics, and foreign affairs. He also enjoys sports, foreign films, and international cuisine. 

While at Texas Law, Marissa volunteered as a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and served as a summer associate law clerk at Jones Day. Additionally, in her work with Texas Law's inaugural Pipeline Program, she read student's personal statements, diversity statements, and addenda. She also met with students to assist each pipeline cohort participant in enhancing their application for law school. As a practicing lawyer in the District of Columbia, Marissa focuses on complex commercial litigation, federal regulations, internal investigations, and white-collar crime and compliance. 

Marissa is a firm believer in the power of mentorship and service and lives by the mantra, “it never dims your light to light another.” She is deeply passionate about helping students achieve their full potential. For the past six years, she has dedicated herself to teaching students how to present themselves in the best light throughout the application process. Having navigated the stressful and often overwhelming path to becoming a practicing attorney herself, she finds sharing her experiences and lessons learned very fulfilling. She takes great joy in witnessing each student’s growth, from crafting their application to the moment they are accepted into law school. For Marissa, this work is not just hard work—it’s heart work.

Lauryn’s academic journey began at the University of California, Los Angeles, where she graduated with a BA in Spanish with honors. She became trilingual in Spanish, French, and English while competing as a Division I rower. Lauryn's achievements as a gold medalist at the San Diego Crew Classic and silver medalist at the PAC-12 Championships highlight her exceptional discipline, commitment, and teamwork—qualities she carried into her legal career.

After graduating from college, Lauryn pursued a Master of Science in Law from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. Her thesis focused on the General Data Privacy Regulation (GDPR) and its implications for the healthcare industries in the U.S. and European Union. Her academic research extended into professional practice during her time at Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale LLP, where she developed a written analysis of a federal regulation governing substance abuse patient confidentiality. Her work culminated in supporting a supervisor presentation to the House Energy and Commerce Committee. Sultan completed his Bachelor of Arts in philosophy on a pre-law track at George Mason University before pursuing a Master of Science in cybersecurity from the University of Maine at Augusta. He then completed his JD at Temple University School of Law, with a focus on transactional and data privacy law. During law school, Sultan served as a teaching assistant, leading lectures, developing curriculum, and mentoring students in courses such as Torts, Professional Ethics, Contracts & Sales, and Constitutional Law. He was awarded the Beasley Scholarship by the admissions committee for his commitment to academic excellence. 

Professionally, Sultan has extensive experience serving as in-house counsel for tech companies, advising on complex cybersecurity issues, and teaching and mentoring students. He currently works for Postman as Commercial Counsel & AI Lead and has previously worked for Deloitte and the U.S. Department of Energy. Sultan’s work has been published in the Global Privacy Law Review, the Journal of Export Controls & Sanctions, and the National Security Commission on AI Report. He has a unique blend of expertise in law, cybersecurity, and higher education and is also interested in corporate law.

After completing high school in Karachi, Pakistan, Leyla attended Cornell University. Subsequently, she worked as a legal assistant at a prestigious international law firm in Washington, D.C., before attending Columbia Law School with a scholarship. After graduating and passing the New York State Bar, Leyla worked as an attorney at Hogan Lovells in New York, a top 50 global law firm. After four years as an attorney, she left the corporate world to pursue both creative and public-spirited endeavors, such as admissions counseling. She has also served as an admissions reader at Cooper Union for the last four years. 

Throughout Leyla's education and career, she has recruited, interviewed, and mentored students and interns. She has guided undergraduates and law students in pursuing their goals, advising them about academics, research, testing, and networking. Lindsey earned her Bachelor of Arts in criminal justice from the University of Georgia. She obtained her JD, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law, and her LLM in Taxation, graduating summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama. At the University of Georgia, she was one of the first Philip H. Alston, Jr. Distinguished Law Fellows, earning a full tuition plus scholarship.  

Most recently, Lindsey practiced at a medium-sized law firm in Athens, Georgia, specializing in estate planning, business succession planning, taxation, and estate administration. She also has experience working as a summer associate at Morris, Manning & Martin in Atlanta, clerking for superior court judges, and grading essays for students studying for the bar exam—an experience she draws on to help students craft polished law school personal statements.  

On her journey to law school, Lindsey encountered challenges obtaining accurate and encouraging advice. She is also the co-founder of Frontline Hero, an organization created to support families of frontline workers who have fallen critically ill or passed away from COVID-19. 

After graduating with honors from Oakwood University, Dr. Mathis graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he served on the Journal of Law and Education. He holds a PhD from the University of Virginia, where he was an American Bar Doctoral Fellow and a Southern Region Education Board Pre-Doctoral Fellow.

Throughout his career, Dr. Mathis' research and scholarly work has been recognized by prominent organizations such as the American Bar Foundation and the Association for the Study of Higher Education. His scholarship explores critical race theory, access and equity within higher education, and the philosophical assumptions within legal education. More pointedly, he studies the framework and incentive structures within higher education environments to identify factors contributing to inequality in our nation’s colleges and universities. 

Dr. Mathis’ research on these topics spans several legal topics, including constitutional and tort law, education law and policy, and ethics. Dr. Mathis’ work has been published or is forthcoming in several law review and peer-review journals. His recent work has appeared in the Washington and Lee Law Review, the University of Colorado Law Review, the Journal of College Student Development, and Education Sciences, among other outlets.

As a coach, Dr. Mathis focuses on identifying and addressing each student's unique weaknesses while emphasizing their strengths to create compelling applications. Marcelius is a first-generation college graduate with a BS in political science, philosophy, and economics with an African studies certificate from the University of Pittsburgh, an MA in philosophy from the University of Missouri, and a JD from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He received full scholarships for his undergraduate and graduate education, as well as a partial scholarship while attending the UNC School of Law. Marcelius is currently pursuing a Doctor of education from Penn State University. 

With a focus on diversity issues, Marcelius most recently served as the leader of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Bexley City School District in Bexley, Ohio. He previously served as the Deputy Title IX Coordinator at Capital University Law School, overseeing the Department of Diversity and Inclusion. 

He also worked as the Student Service Coordinator for Student Diversity, Outreach, and Women's Programs at the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Additionally, he has experience as an adjunct professor at Capital University and Austin Peay State University. He has experience teaching courses in philosophy, political science, African studies, African American studies, leadership and organizational administration, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

Zev holds a Bachelor's in political science and government from Touro University, where he served as vice president of the Political Science Club and editor of the Political Science Journal. Zev discovered his passion for academic coaching while studying and through his experience coaching high school basketball. He came to understand the rewarding nature of playing a part in helping students achieve their dreams. He enjoys seeing students, often for the first time, actually voice what drives them, excites them, and even scares them. Zev takes great satisfaction in guiding students to translate those feelings into exceptional application materials.

As a coach, Zev’s coaching style is both supportive and motivating. His greatest strength is helping students identify what is important to them and guiding them to accomplish their goals accurately and efficiently. While at Perkins, Diksha learned about transactional and regulatory practice areas of law, but she always wanted to study law to be a litigator. And so, in law school, she took every opportunity to understand what litigation practice entails and what it takes to be a litigator. During her 2L year, she worked at Shook, Hardy and Bacon LLP, where she assisted attorneys in conducting several depositions in multi-district product liability litigation and drafted several pre-trial motions on toxic tort cases. She also interned for Hon. Judge Barry Baskin, where she worked on several complex commercial litigation matters involving antitrust vertical integration and product liability.

Diksha is deeply passionate about law and advocacy, with extensive experience tutoring public speaking and 1L law courses. Her exceptional public speaking skills have earned her a gold medal in the NCF Persuasive Speaking Spring Flings Tournament, the "World Changer" award in public speaking, and a finalist position in the Arnold & Porter Government Contracts Moot Court. She also recently received a President's Award (Gold) for Outstanding Pro Bono Services. In his final year, he also participated in the Center for Social Justice Clinic, assisting veterans with veterans affairs issues and aiding clients with wills and estate issues. Currently, he serves as an attorney for a mid-sized law firm in Cherry Hill, NJ.

As the first person in his family to graduate from college and attend law school, Gerard is passionate about guiding others through the application process. Throughout his own admissions process, he had a number of mentors who helped guide him along his journey.
