Angel Xia, a Private LSAT Tutor at Juris Education

Angel holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art and politics from New York University, where they graduated with honors. They scored a perfect 180 on the LSAT and are committed to helping students discover that the LSAT is not a fixed measure of intelligence but a learnable test that anyone can master with the right guidance. Students they have tutored have increased their scores by an average of 10-15 points.

In addition to their tutoring work, Angel brings a diverse professional background spanning immigration law, political fieldwork, and technology consulting. They have completed legal internships at Tsang & Associates PLC and Meng Law Group PC, two firms where they drafted legal briefs, motions, and persuasive case materials. Angel also served as a campaign fellow on Marjorie Velázquez's City Council campaign, coordinating field operations and voter outreach across a contested Bronx district. Angel has also been published in the NYU American Public Policy Review, contributing a piece on antitrust law and Big Tech, and they previously worked as a digital lab monitor at NYU.

As a tutor, Angel has a sharp command of the analytical and critical thinking skills that lie at the heart of the LSAT. Angel believes that the LSAT can even be fun (if a student allows themselves to see it that way). They firmly believe that the LSAT rewards the kind of thinking that can be cultivated, and they are passionate about making that process not just effective, but genuinely enjoyable for students.

Angel has helped students achieve major score improvements after months-long score plateaus. Their approach is personalized and adaptive. They begin by identifying each student's specific strengths and gaps, then build targeted strategies that play to the student's natural way of thinking, their hobbies, and their interests. Rather than drilling students into a rigid formula, Angel helps them develop an intuition for the exam that builds lasting confidence.

Outside of tutoring, Angel is a creative at heart. They have independently coded and shipped a video game, are currently at work on a webcomic, and have had their art shown in galleries in New York City. Angel also enjoys hiking, traveling, and reading. Their favorite hike was Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh, Scotland.
