Alexandra Willingham

At Swarthmore College, Alexandra served as an admissions fellow and an alumni interviewer, which gave her insight into the key ingredients of a successful interview. She joined Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP as a litigation paralegal after graduating, supporting cases up through trial on topics including securities, employment, insurance fraud, and landlord-tenant disputes. 

At Stanford, Alexandra won several prizes for her legal writing and oral advocacy, served as a research assistant for professors working on gender justice and criminal appeals, and participated in the Supreme Court Litigation Clinic. She also served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Stanford Journal of Civil Rights and Civil Liberties and as an editor for the Stanford Law Review. Alexandra was also Vice President of the Kirkwood Moot Court Board. She also demonstrated leadership and commitment to advocacy through her work as Co-President of Stanford Law’s If/When/How organization and SLS GiVe (Stanford Law Students Against Gendered Violence).

Alexandra returned to Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP after earning her JD, where she worked as a litigation associate. She went on to work as a judicial law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit before transitioning to work at the Center for Reproductive Rights.

Alexandra's background and network enable her to support applicants with diverse interests and aspirations for law school and beyond. Her coaching style is flexible, adapting to each student’s communication preferences. Alexandra works with a small number of students so she can really get to know them and their goals—her philosophy for law school applications is that personal fit is an underrated component in choosing a law school.

Alexandra has benefited from several thoughtful mentors as she navigated the law school admissions process, sparking a commitment in her to provide the same support to future applicants. She has mentored several current T-14 law school attendees and looks forward to helping more students gain admission to their dream law schools. 

A fun fact about Alexandra is that she spent six years in East Asia, between Singapore and China.
